The Summerland images take us to a familiar Australian landscape. The beach in summer is a hot and hazy terrain that shimmers in the dazzling heat and these images recall our initial squinted glimpses, on the cognitive threshold, as we strain to focus and articulate the differences in textures, tonalities and contours of what lies before us.
Industrial Heartland is a photographic exploration that focuses our attention on a unique Melbourne industrial landscape in the City of Kingston. At first glance this intriguing area seems deceptively homogeneous in its purpose and appearance, but on closer scrutiny this overlooked and utilitarian landscape is strikingly diverse and alluring.
