Stephanie Rose Wood

Stephanie Rose Wood is a Melbourne-based documentary and portrait photographer focused on producing long-form documentary projects, shooting editorial for publications and working as an educator. Her photographic practice is research-driven and explores themes of community, ritual and the psychology of belief.

Stephanie’s industry experience began in 2010 as a photographic assistant in London for advertising and editorial photographers. Whilst living in London, Stephanie worked extensively for theatre production companies and NGOs. In 2016, she completed a Masters of Photojournalism and Documentary Photography with distinction at London College of Communication.

Stephanie regularly shoots for publications in Australia, including Frankie Magazine, Smith Journal, Archer Magazine and SPACES. She has exhibited in Australia and overseas. Her work is held in private collections in the UK, France and Spain.

Stephanie teaches documentary photography and photojournalism at Photography Studies College.
