A Secret

A Secret

Anonymous secrets, from adultery, elder abuse, shame and repression to hidden love and government secrets, become art as part of 'A Secret'.

A Secret is an exhibition of photographs that each artist has, up until now, intentionally kept hidden from public view. It presents the secret works of 24 artists, each revealing and uncovering one of their innermost secrets through a single image accompanied by a brief, explanatory statement. However, in a departure from the norm, all works will be presented anonymously.

Australian and international artists exhibiting their secret works include: Aletheia Casey, Ben Stone Herbert, Caroline McLean-Foldes, Catherine Cloran, Daniel Grendon, Daniel Sullivan, Digby Duncan, Fraser Crichton, Ian Provest, Isabelle Baumann, Jill Crossley, John Janson-Moore, Jon Hart, Julie Williams, Luke Hardy, Michael Haylen, Patricia Casey, Ryan Fitzgerald, Sally McInerney, Sandy Edwards, Sandra Kontos, Steven Cavanagh, Tony Kenny and Zorica Purlija

This groundbreaking exhibition will show exclusively at Contact Sheet between 2nd-18th March 2017. This is a unique opportunity to view works that may never be seen again in public due to the personal nature of the content.
