Cherie McNair

Cherie McNair is an experienced arts and culture industries professional with experience spanning 20 years across the visual arts, museums and galleries sector in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Skilled in developing and managing National and International Partnerships, Project Management (with a specific focus on exhibitions, having delivered over 200 of them), Policy and Strategy development, Art History, Curating and Government Liaison.

Educated in Melbourne, she holds an MA in Gallery and Museum Studies, together with a Post Grad Dip in Art History and Film Studies and a BA in Media Arts.

Cherie's experience in the culture sector has included roles at Queensland Museum Network, National Museums Scotland, Tate Modern (London Festival 2012), Anthony d’Offay, London, Victoria and Albert Museum, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Australian Centre for Photography.

Enjoying life as a freelance professional, Cherie works with institutions, private industry, individual artists and government partners to make cultural project dreams a reality.

She serves on the boards of the Pure Antarctic Foundation (pureantarctic.com) and the Australian Executive for the International Council of Museums (http://icom.org.au).
